The Cannes Yachting Festival’s international reputation makes it one of the major boating shows in the world and is Europe’s leading in-water boating event. In the heart of the French Riviera, the city and bay of Cannes offer a magnificent setting for the annual Yachting Festival.
As the first show in the boating season, all major players in pleasure yachting attend the show to showcase their new models. This international yachting event will take place between the 10th and 15th September in the elegant and luxurious surroundings of the sparkling bay of Cannes.
For more than 40 years, the Yachting Festival has kicked off the boating season in September and unveiled more than 120 world premieres in an elegant, luxury setting. An estimated 51,000 visitors shall be attending the Cannes Yachting Festival, which will host over 630 boats and yachts in 2 exhibition areas: Vieux Port and Port Canto, 219 new items and 122 world premieres from 542 exhibitors.
As one of the oldest harbours on the French Riviera, each year Vieux Port welcomes prestigious exhibits presented by the world’s largest shipyards. This year it will host seven different exhibition areas.
The Luxury Gallery – Dedicated exclusively to luxury players in the sectors including watchmaking, jewellery, spirits, fashion and accessories, household linen, decoration, furniture, design, art, high-tech products, services, etc. They come to meet affluent visitors who enjoy exceptional products, to showcase their know-how and new products.
Palais des Festivals – This centre is dedicated to the big names in superyachts. Inside you will find shipyards, architects and designers, clothing, accessories, marinas, and service companies. The Tender and Toys area with the latest innovations will be showcased outside.
The SuperYachts Extension – With a choice of sailing and motor yachts, here you will find luxury yachts ranging from 25 to 55 metres. Shipyards, charter brokers and service companies will be there to make themselves known to an international audience of demanding visitors and professionals gathered together around their passions: yachting and luxury.
La Jetée – Highly sought after by the largest international shipyards, this area exhibits the best the world has to offer in yachts and superyachts.
La Pantiero – Smaller upmarket motor boats and a range of boats including open, sport, fly and sport fishing, will be on show. On land there will be yards, an equipment village, and nautical accessories.
The Quai Saint-Pierre – A wide range of large sailing and motor boats of 10 to 25 metres together with yards, sailing and motor boat accessories, will be featured.
The Quai Max Laubeuf – The history of the Festival itself started on this dock. Only 30 boats were exhibited back then. This year, the show will attract some 160 boats of 10 to 20 metres. On land there will be a village dedicated to inflatable and rigid-inflatable boats.
Port Canto will continue to host the “Brokerage” and the “Toys” areas. Brokers and charter companies will be there to offer a selection of around 50 sumptuous 22m to 65m yachts and who will let you explore their boats and share the elegance of their world and the joys of life on board.
This year, the Yachting Festival will bring together all sailing boats, monohulls and multihulls in a single dedicated and fitted port. With more than 100 sailing boats in Port Canto, the Yachting Festival will be the world’s largest in-water exhibition of large sailing boats, offering the best experience for sailing enthusiasts and buyers.
With the support of the Cannes Yacht Club, Port Canto will also play host to La Regata. Visitors will be able to enjoy and watch the departures of the regattas from Port Canto.
Exclusively for motor boats and day boats of less than 12 metres, the contest combines the presentation of an elegant crew with at least one female member, and a boat with incontestably elegant lines. This exceptional parade is an occasion to see vintage and modern day boats on show and pay tribute to the rich history of yachting in the heart of the French Riviera.
